A Felicitation and Certification Programme for MSMEs of Haridwar industrial cluster was organized on March 15, 2019 at Hotel Gardenia, Sector-11 SIDCUL, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The event was organized under BEE-SIDBI-GEF-WB project.

The objective of the event was to acknowledge the participation by MSME units in Varanasi to implement energy efficiency measures under the project. 16 MSMEs have collectively contributed to over INR 290 lakhs of investment in energy and resource efficient technologies, leading to energy savings of around 444 TOE/year, translating to annual monetary savings of INR 244 lakhs and lifetime emission reductions of over 28600 tons of CO2.

MSMEs presented case studies on energy and resource efficient technologies relevant to Varanasi cluster and shared their views on improving energy efficiency and ease of technical support for implementation.
